My name is Brigid McAuliffe, and I am an interdisciplinary artist and educator. This blog is a home for my digital storytelling projects, process, influences and research. I believe that art and technology can be used to build stronger and more just communities by promoting intercultural communication and understanding. I employ interpretive and documentary methods of inquiry in my creative work, and use video and audio, photography, animation and fibers to communicate personal stories of empowerment, struggle, identity and transition as representational media. My personal and pedagogical goals are to build awareness of social issues, preserve cultural identity and tradition, and help people, particularly those on the margins, project their voices through art and technology.

Thank you for visiting, and I look forward to connecting with you!

Posts on this blog will link you to specific projects and/or portfolios.
